A stay abroad as part of a program of study is an enriching experience – linguistically and culturally as well as academically and personally. The Department of Book Studies in Mainz has ERASMUS cooperation agreements with a number of European universities.
In the bachelor’s program for book studies, a semester abroad is recommended in the 4th academic semester. Planning should therefore begin as early as the 2nd academic semester. In the master’s program for book studies, the 3rd semester is best suited for a semester abroad. Please start planning during the 1st semester.
Your first point of contact for questions is Dr. Tobias Christ. He will be happy to provide you with detailed information during his consultation hours and introduce you to our partner institutions.
The International Office can provide you with information on funding and organization within the framework of ERASMUS.
Here you will find information on applications to study abroad and other opportunities to go abroad.
